He has worked in Wollongong, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney. Along the way he has edited papers for the Murdoch family, met politicians, sporting stars and famous musicians. He is on the road for almost half the year staying in everything from backpack retreats to five-star resorts, catching trains, sailing on ships and flying at the front end (and back sadly) of planes.
When he is at home he plays in a covers band called The Deadliners. “We play exactly the sort of music you would expect to hear from four 50-year-old-men.’’ He is a mad-keen South Sydney rugby league supporter and enjoys the fact that the Bunnies are the current NRL premiers. And by the way, that’s Keith Urban’s hand on his shoulder.
